Engine Ran Rich Questions
Found a couple of used HD softails. One had the headers going into on muffler and at the junction and into the mufler the chrome has turned blue black. This is an indicator of a rich running engine, correct? What, if any, problems does running an engine rich cause? Found another with the exhaust as two pipes and one has this blue/ black and the other is lightly discolored a bronze. NOT good or no big deal?

If the pipes don't have heat shields i believe that its not uncommon to have pipes blueing even if the engine is running great.
Take the bikes for a ride and if they run great then put one in your garage!
