I'll be fitting these components to my bob soon, just want to check compression will be ok.
not after anything wild, just give her a bit of a tickle !
1. S&S 106 big bore kit
This kit gives 10:1 compression ratio with stock heads (and I guess this is with the head gaskets that come with the kit which measure 0.045")
2. S&S 583 CE EasyStart Cams
Optimized for use as a great over-all cam in the SoftailŽ/ DynaŽ lines, but can be used in any 2007-up big twin model.
Provides strong low end torque and horsepower that you can really feel.
Strongest from 1500-5000 in a Softail/Dyna application.
3. Stock Heads (for now)
4. 0.030" head gaskets

Reason: more info
Me thinks that 583 will carry waaaaaaaay too much ccp underneath that 106"er.
A .570 would be a better choice, and even then, a .030" head gasket won't work, unless of course the chambers are larger that 85cc's.
