Okay I put my bike away running fine and when I tried to restart it the front cylinder is dead. The coil and wires are good..I also did a compression test which is good also....not sure where to go next...maybe swap out the crank sensor not sure if that would affect only one cylinder.....I am hoping it is not the ECM...not sure whats next.....any input would be great...
Thanx
ok here is my update guys... I did look at the wiring and it wasnt pulling @ the connectors. I am getting power to the connector. I checked the spark w a tester and both cylinders seam a spiradic. I did swap out & test the coil and wires....w the same response. I used a stethoscope to listen to the injectors they both seam to be pulsing so Im thinking it is some spark issue to the front cylinder as it is fouling out the front plug. I also looked at the ECM wiring and plug and didnt find anything.....any thoughts ?? Thanx for all the input greatly appreciated...
If I understand you the plugs where tested under compression in the head? What year, model of the bike? Is the engine light staying on? Does it come on then off then on again for about half a minute?
I also swapped the injector plugs to see what would happen...and it still fouled the front cylinder plug...when I cranked the engine to clear the cylinder there was clearly more fuel coming out as I was cranking the engine over...seams the front injector is spraying too much fuel...
ok I pulled the injectors out and swapped the front to the rear....same result front cylinder is getting wet and fouling the injectors both had the same resistance when I ohmed them...they are definitely not stuck open as had them out of the intake and watched them pulse for start up....even if I trim the cyclinder with the power commander it still is not enough....this thing is driving me nuts.......
PLugs out cranking this pig over fuel is spraying out of both cylinders........these injectors are definitely spraying way too much fuel in there....... I know its the injectors or the ECM giving the injectors wrong info.....???
when I crank my other twin cam FI bike over w o plugs in it you cant even see the fuel coming out....this thing is spraying like the injectors are wide open...the injector I switched to the rear is spraying more....but both are way TOO much fuel.....
what are the odds the injectors both need replacing at the same time....logic makes me think the ECM is ****ed....
