Andrews 48, SE204 and if looking for lot's of low end torque but not much after 4500 rpms, the SE255 is a torque monster in a 103". The 48 will perform much like the 255 but will carry out to 5000rpms or thereabouts before fading. The SE204 will not have as much low end as the other two but a strong midrange and will hang on as long as the 48.

There are others, some offerings from Woods, TMan, Redshift and S&S but for a bolt in cam upgrade, those first three are hard to beat.

Yes, the 259E would like to see 10.5-10.8 static; with OEM heads and head gasket, you are sitting on about 9.6. If sticking with SE cams and looking for torque and midrange, the SE204 or the SE255 are great choices. The SE204 with a set of 1.7 ratio rockers for more lift is a nice combination. If after more low end than mid-range, the 255 is your huckleberry.

Andrews 57 is designed for the stage 1 103 and shows great #s. I ya have to stay with SE, SE204 with a set of 1.7 ratio rockers. YA really should do 10.5 pistons for SE259. Friends don't let friends run 255 in 103.

The 255 is a torque monster in a 103 but does not make a lot of HP. Have done two 103 cam only upgrades from Stage I to Stage II. Last one made 109TQ/96HP; crossed 100TQ at 2600 and did not drop below 100TQ until 4800; not to shabby for an SE cam with OEM exhaust with Cycle Shack baffles in touring mufflers. Different exhaust and he would have had better numbers.

The Andrews 57, in the same configuration, will make similar torque and about 5 more HP than the 255 and it will carry the TQ out past 5000; nice cam in a 103. However, many complain about the noise that comes back throught the TB with that cam.

The OP is looking for SE options and he has a couple of good ones; he just has to decide which best suits his riding style.

If I'm not too late for the party look at the SE 254e cams they will do every thing
that the SE 255 cams will do just only better.

The 254E is a nice cam but is intended for the "lighter" dynas and softails. The 255 is intended for the "heavier" baggers. If going with SE cams, JMHO, but the 255 is a better choice.

Do the 10.5 and 259E. You won't be sorry.

Jurgie, I hope you don't get the 259e's with out getting head work and more compression. The 204's are the cam to go with. A good friend of mine got the 254e's and even though the dyno chart shows good results it still doesn't compare to the 204's in my bike. It just doesn't have the bottom end pull that the 204's do.
