Hey Rhubarb, are you running big shots long without the baffles, if so can you notice any differents in the running of your bike and does it make your bike soundany better! My pipes have a deep sound but it seemsto just rumblewith no tone !!! Thats why I'm wanting to remove my baffles and see if I can find a tone. Thanks
I acquired a unattractive dent in my heat sheild of my Big Shots Staggered while trailering to Bike Week (damn it) so I ordered a new sheild from V&H. Will I need to take the entire pipe off to replace it?
dugan,I contacted the service tec at vance & hines and ask them if I had to take my pipes off in order to change my baffles and I was told no, all I had to do was remove the heat shields from the pipes no need to remove them.soaccording to the servicetec you do not have to remove your pipes to change your heat shields.

I'm using quiet baffles. They made a big improvement. Stock and none seemed to have a loss of low end power.

I'm assuming I do have to take the tip off but can leave the quiet baffle in when replacing the shield?
leave the pipes on at your own risk... I couldn't for the life of me get the shields off with the pipes on the bike. I even put a small crease in them...
