Default Too Lean?

I just took delivery of my 2007 deuce. My near term plans are toinstall a Hypercharger Pro-R air cleaner, V&H big radius pipes, followed by a re-map (Power Commander or similar). Since I will likely do this over a few month period; if I install the hyper charger now without a re-map will my new bike run too lean since it will be breathing at least a little eassier?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

No way to know unless you have it checked - chances are, it will run a little leaner - personally, I'd do the exhaust at the same time - you may actually hurt your performance by not allowing more airflow out of the exhaust while forcing more into the engine. Do them both and then go for the dyno - a power commander will probably be needed if you need to make adjustments to the map.

If you go with any change in AC which allows more air flow, it will cause it to run leaner. If you change the AC, your best bet is to do the EFI (PCIII-SERT) management at the same time.

It will be too lean with the intakeopened upand the hypercharger really isn't the best selection for good performance.

Harley has a map for just the A/C change. They sell it as part of a "stage 1" in their catalog, getthe air cleaner and the map as one setup.... I had this done before I took delivery ofmy bike. Then you can change out the pipes later.

Or just can get all 3 (PCIII/, air cleaner and exhaust/slip-ons) as a package from from places at a discount.
