Default SE High Compression Cylinder Studs threadlocker

Currently installing high compression cylinder studs on twin cam 95. Should I use red threadlocker 271 (300 degrees) or 272 (450 degrees). Having a hard time finding 272 in stock locally but do not want to cut corners. Thanks for your help!

They should have come with detailed instructions on loctite type and torque specs. I wouldsuspect that red loctite would be alright . Remember to use a ball bearing on the top of the studs when torqueing them down withaheads bolt. Carefull , keep all the holes blocked off on top of the motor . I used a small round magnet on the top of the head bolt to keep the ball bearing in there, worked greaet ... Hope this helps...Mark...

If you are talking about the standard SE cylinder studs they should come with locktight patch on them. They have no shoulder as the stock ones do so you need to mesure depth. I started using them on my build but didn't like the way they fit. One felt like I was going to strip threads in case and another could shake around in hole after depth set. Didn't like them and put stock studs back.
