Question Which Cosmetic .030" Top End Kit for S&S 106

UPDATE 1/26/14: the correct kit for the S&S 106" .030" head gasket is 900-0216 (S&S part #) 3.927" is the bore needed!

Cometic Gaskets Twin Cam Top End Gasket Kit with MLS Head Gaskets:
Product Description:
Cylinder Bore Size: 3.875" (3 7/8")Bore
Manufacturer Part Number: C9844
Seal or Gasket: Gasket
Sold in Units: Set
Thickness: .030″ Head Gasket

Is that the right .030" part number top end gasket kit for my 2009 96" street bob that I'm upgrading to a 106"?

Thanks Guys

I get the head gaskets made for the 3-15/16" bore. Not the 4". Don't believe in giving carbon a place to hide.

I went on the cometic site and found this exact .030" fit for my 3.937" bore.

Stock #: C9182-030
$137.79 + shipping on their site.

Anybody know a good place that's cheaper that carries all the Cosmetic gaskets?

Hey HD Bobber, you might do better just buying the Cometic Head Gaskets and all the other stuff individually from HD. I already bought everything for top end and cams for about $77 minus the head gaskets. The kits seem to have way too much stuff and are pricey.

Might try Scott at Hillside Performance. He sent a Cometic set with the Big Bore kit he made for me.

3.937" = 3 15/16".

I have been buying gaskets from CYCO for years; good product at about half the price of Cometic. Don't know if they are making a MLS gasket for the 3.937" bore but give them a call.

Their kit comes with .040", but I need .030" for my setup.

It might be worth calling S&S and Cometic, to see if either of them do .030 gaskets on their own?
