Default Lifter concerns

Thanks in adance for the help! I am curently installing my old lifters in a twin cam 95. They have been soaking in oil since yesterday. Three of them are hard to compress and one of them is relatively easy. Is this because it is not filled with oil or is this lifter defective?

Thanks again for the help

It's defective. "Which one of these is not like the others?"

The rear inside lifter can be depressed quite easily with your finger. None of the other can be depressed.

Thanks Again!

Why don't you just go and buy a new set of lifters and don't worry about it???........ Have one of them fail and how much are you going to spend ??? the old saying 100.00 now or 2000.00 later or more it's up to you.

There is PROBABLY nothing wrong with the lifter. You can probably take an old fashion triger style oil can and pump it up threw the small hole on the side of lifter. I had a brand new B lifter do the same thing. That said I agree if you have over 1k miles on those lifters I would change them out. Cheap insurance.
