I don’t know the DCs of the 42WL and 42G and I don’t know the BN for the 42WL. The BN for the 42G is 42-53++.

Here’s a 42WLD and I think the DC may be G 1. I don’t know the BN.

Next is one of the lists I compiled in 2016 from my own photo examples of Flathead 45ci cases. Some BNs and SNs are unknown however and some SNs are non-factory (N-F) but maybe this will help give some idea how things went. As we'd expect, not every case was used in the order it was produced. NB: the 42WLD isn’t on this list because I didn’t have the photo at that time (2016). And since then I’ve also accumulated a few more examples that need to be added.

Getting back to your left case, I recommend selling it. Your other options sound like a good idea provided they have authentic SNs. If you need help with SNs for 1945, 46 and 47 let us know and we can advise you regarding the types of characters and the production ranges.
