My new Vintage price guide arrived in yesterday’s mail. After reviewing it, KBB and NADA, I’m thinking tentatively of offering about 7.5K. That is based on what I was able to see when I was in his garage. A closer look in good light and a conversation with the owner will determine whether my actual offer goes up, down or stays at that price. I’d really like to have it, but don’t have to have it.

Received a call yesterday. The owner is back in town and I'm going to meet with him on Tuesday to discuss buying the GE. Based on the house he lives in and all the toys I saw, I don't think he needs the money so not sure if he'll sell it to me for what I'm will to pay or not.

Usually people that don’t need the money have no interest in selling anything

i have a guy who is sitting on 100 antique machines in tractors antique Indians and harleys nothing newer then the 40s and by plains

he is convinced he is living forever and wont sell a screw that’s on the floor

i guy traded me a 4000 mile motor guzzi convert in the 80s for a sporty set of handlebars - then i sold it for 3500 bucks - you can never guess whats coming in the door next
