I'm just getting my long-delayed 45 project back on the workstand. I've picked up an Electra Glide buddy seat, just because I like it. I'm looking at panniers now.
I do like bubble bags and I see them coming round on ebay, time to time; mostly the repop ones made a few years ago.
Does anyone have experience of these, or other hard bags on a 45? Britain is a wet lousy climate at any time of year and I'm no fan of leather bags
UNLESS someone in Europe is making them the USA guy is gone and they will go up in value even as re pops
I'd guessed that. My main question was do they fit? The 45 is a smaller bike than the Panhead.... Also, do they stand up to being on a rigid frame? I guess so, but I split a fibreglass pannier on a rigid BSA years ago.
I don't think it would be too difficult. The general plan is to start with the big carrier rack fitted to military spec 45s and fabricate some sort of pin strip. It doesn't look too difficult provided the dimensions work - I was particularly wondering whether they clash with the rear guard bars?
