AdBlock Plus works great, as do others. I have zero popups on HDF.
But, there is another issue...more and more sites, all of which use ads to generate revenue to pay for their sites, now have the ability to detect if you're using an ad blocker. If you are, they will not allow you to see anything on their site unless you turn it off, or you join as a paid subscriber to see the site ad-free.
There's no way around that, unfortunately.

There's 2-3 threads on the first page and a sticky about pop ups. Take the time to read them, instead of making another of the MANY threads about it.

This is brought up 2-3 times a month, in fact, there's a sticky about it on this page. Ads help with the cost of running the forums. If you want to block them get an ad blocker. I have Ad Blocker Plus on my iPad and I've never had any pop ups. Simple.

This is the only page I read on this forum and I haven't read anything regarding ads here... but I have noticed that they've gotten much more abundant then before. No need to get your panties twisted though, not everyone is computer literate. I'll check out the Ad-Blocker Plus and see if it works on my laptop and everything else.
