"Their" forum needs "our" participation and lots of it, otherwise the sponsors/advertisers will bail out. The forum needs a post count to do business, that's how they make their money.
This really isn't that big of a deal.I men, who here really cares what happens to the POD? This IS a motorcycle forum and if anybody feels that the POD was their favorite place on the forum then maybe this isn't the place for them. I'm sure there are other harbors out there on web where they can drop anchor focus on politics without being distracted by motorcycle issues.
We all know the problem here, the left hates the right and the right hates the left and no amount of debate, disagreement or discussion is going to change that. Politics is no different from anything else be it sports, race, religion, music or the kind of bikes we ride. "My side" will always be better that "your side" and no matter how many words or rules you throw into the mix you'll never really get people to fully accept or agree with the other side. You might get people to pretend to accept the beliefs and actions of others but inside the embers will continue to glow. In the end The Beatles will always be better than The Stones, Chevy will always be better than Fords and older Harleys will always be better than the new ones.
So now that the POD and all of its pundits are out of the way I can get on with the most pressing issue that faces me personally - where shall I ride to have lunch today?
I'm gonna miss the pod, not that I was a big poster in there but it was a fun spot to be a fly on the wall for the most part.
They said that someone took the pod into the real world. I have to wonder just what it is that means. So far I'm seeing a lot of the semi-regulars posting here. But not so much from the real regulars. Did the ax drop on a good number of them?

Good breeding consists of concealing how much we think of ourselves and how little we think of the other person.-Mark Twain
Think outside the box, perhaps a corporate sponsor would be the answer. Then the silenced would not have to pay for free speech. It would probably need to be a non political related corporation to avoid any ethical concerns - like the NFL or N I K E ? Maybe that spelling won't silence my free speech.
Dont worry this will get locked or deleted. The truth that they took the cowards way out might ruffle too many feathers.
Pretty sure mods and admin got tired of spending 95% of their time on 5% of the HDF membership. Some of the POD regulars were serial complainers, including, apparently, one who finally got everyone thrown out of the pool.
Terry warned about this eventuality coming to pass. People just couldnt be adults.
