We all know the problem here, the left hates the right and the right hates the left and no amount of debate, disagreement or discussion is going to change that.
Used to be we ALL loved our Country and everything about it (Constitution) that made her great.
Now, the progressive left Hates everything, The Constitution, Free speech, Gun rights, Capitalism, Free Markets, etc., that made our Country great. The really big difference is, instead of debating, they figured out how to shut things down. That's their MO.
Well boys, it's been a great run for many years here. Though many of us may not be able to post in the POD anymore, there is a place that you can with no charge. Hint, it is a Harley location and isn't moderated with gestapo like tactics. PM me for details if interested. Time to make the competition stronger and more active. I plan on checking in here for about another week and then very rarely if at all. I value all the friendships I've made here over the years.
Take care...
Just goes to show what most of us have been screaming to those thug NFL Players and their supporters.....There is no "Freedom of Speech" in the work place or private life
I don't agree with the decision to close the POD but it is their prerogative.
With the Goop settlement, Forum post can get their owners into trouble. Gwyneth Paltrow's company just settled a 6 figure lawsuit on her hoho cream and black colored eggs. Her forum post where positive on all the benefits that were not proven medically and the government said they were false advertising.
i shot her an email that the problem was placement and volunteered her my services any time she need help.

Testing the theory and after paying the funds...I can now post in the POD
So, this is what it feels like to be an "elite"?
Truthfully, it feels kinda lonely as there are only like 5 of us....lol
Come on, this is silly...open up the forum to all members as the "more the merrier" saying rings true in this case. .
I was contemplating buying a membership anyways since I spend so much time here and enjoy the forum. Now I have more incentive so I'll pay up just to keep the other side from running amok. Free speech was paid for in blood so what's 25 bucks?
I have thought of paying for a couple of years but did not. I think if they the owners or mods had come to everyone and said we want this to work, we want it clean and fair and our solution is to allow everyone who is verified and pays to participate I would have been in.
Knowing the total BS trash we have seen from the left and now having it just pulled out from under us the way they did it feels like we are being held hostage. I really don't care to support it with my dollars at this point.
I think I am probably better off just ignoring it and spending time elsewhere.
I'm having mixed feelings about it all. When Photobucket suddenly stopped supporting third party hosting it was very upsetting for so many people. I'm active in a couple of guitar forums and have technical expertise in that subject. Many of my threads on restoration projects, or modification projects were enjoyed by many and when suddenly they couldn't see the images it was upsetting. I refused to pay $300 just to host my images. After quite some time Photobucket offered additional packages and I ended up spending $100 basically so people could see they threads I had posted for the previous 10+ years.
In the HD forums I read much more than I post. I don't have the mechanical skill to join in technical conversations so I just read them. I post once in a while in the Softail forum but mostly if it has to do with a Rocker, and there aren't many of us on Rockers. I post in the QOTR, but again there aren't a lot of lady riders so that one isn't very busy. I do post in the Gun Enthusiast and PGR sections and once in a while in the General and Off Topic. I guess I'll see ya'll in that area.
For me, it's not the $25, it's how it went down. It doesn't feel very good. At first I thought I had ticked someone off and was given a "time out". But soon learned the news. I think I'll just wait a while and see how it goes. If rules were tightened up to stop some of the nasty disparaging that would be encouraging.
After Trump won the election, I haven't really been in the POD. Some of the things the left spews, I just cant comprehend. For example, I hear talk of impeaching Trump, I still don't know on what grounds and it has been in the news for months, I figure if they didn't impeach Clinton for lying under oath, how are they going to impeach Trump. So, I move on, when it gets stupid I stop listening. I am basically 50 years old, was an adult in the 90's and never thought Hillary was qualified to do anything. The fact that the left thinks she is great is testament to how stupid they are, but, I digress. My point is, I M O, the POD became uninteresting after the election. Move on to today, I see that the POD is a "members only" thing now. A private club if you will, what the "paying members" are going to find is, they wont have as much fun with just the "paying members" in there, there will be no "bickering back and forth" ( but then again?) and that is where the enjoyment lies from what I have observed. Blocking everyone out is a mistake, and the same crowd that was in there isn't going to pay to "Join the POD club"
