Glad to see you have a sense of humor. Not sure what happened to make you want to leave, but speaking from experience, I've had to step away for a bit myself. Always good to leave the door open.
I'm leaving, really I don't like visiting anymore, too many ads. This place has lots of interesting topics and posts from some great people, wish I could take all the distractions. I'm active on other forums, this forum has more ways to interrupt with ads than I thought possible, pop ups, ads in threads, the maximize minimize thing, on and on. I can see it getting worse rather than better.
I'm now getting email ads from forum sponsors. Someone's getting too greedy and probably making lots of money off this forum.
Today I received an email from a sponsor, how to get rid of belly fat.....now we're accepting questionable sponsors and selling them our email list?
I wish I'd never subscribed to this forum. I'll certainly miss the good content.........

Emails from vendors just from being a member of the forum? Nobody has access to your email address unless you are providing it. As for ads...use an ad blocker. It's really not that difficult.

Geez if you're tired of all the pop ups, why not just get an add blocker. I've been on here longer than you have and I don't get any emails either. I have an add blocker and I never get any pop ups, simple. But if you wanna leave, nice thing about forums, people can come and go and nobody is stopping them.
I don't see any pop ups and really haven't seen issue with any of the advertisements, I do notice them from time to time but not enough to bother me. Maybe I just pay close enough attention.
For me it isn't the ads. It's closing a thread instead of banning the Idiot who caused the problem. As in the Peter Fonda passing. If you can't keep your Trash in the PoD you might as well have it all a pod for the pos..
