it's an 'unamerican' thing... I'm in portugal and also have this cloudfart thing every other minute, no matter what OS (I use linux/macos on computer) or device (ipad, safari browser).
at least after the first time it mostly 'automates' itself - just have to wait some annoying seconds for stuff to load
surely there is a way to get rid of it when you are 'logged in'... perhaps a different way of configuration.
This "Cloudflare" crap keeps interfering with every post I write here in Germany, endlessly...
I write everything offline, copy it into the editor, and then try to send it.
Attaching a photo, or even a link, is completely impossible.
This "over-security" for registered users in an internet forum is getting on my nerves, and I'm sure
I'm not the only one..?
Im not a network administrator or an expert in website security, but as @Robb M. stated in post #5, this is the new normal. My less than educated guess is the fact that a higher percentage of malicious traffic originates from overseas, that traffic can cause more aggressive, automated Cloudflare challenges for those areas. He offered to see if he could whitelist your IP address, but you refused to do so. Now, you continually bitch and moan because IB refuses to alter its security standards to pacify you. FWIW, not once have I ever been challenged by Cloudflare.
there's no way to whitelist IP addresses these days, they change all the time... but whitelisting western european countries (like germany and all the way to the left) would definitely be nice
Hi Robb,
I apologize for my crude choice of words, which was inappropriate!
I'll just let the problem sink in for a while and not bother you with it any further.
I've come to really appreciate this internet forum; there are many good people here, and I enjoy
browsing it very much...
And as my unfortunately distant friend Gerhard always said: "Mike, the problem is always in front of
the screen, not behind it!"
A very wise statement, and that should be enough!
Mike
