That .gif file is too large...the average user is limited to I believe 100k..

real easy. find an animated gif you like. Go here: http://www.online-image-editor.com/index.cfm, upload it, resize it to 100X100. Then right click on it and save picture to your hard drive.

Then you can upload it as your avatar.
