Easy to do Steve, go to user cp, click on that, then look down for private messages, click on the blue highlighted edit folders then you can set up/add separate folders there.
Just remember these archived folder PM's count towards your total allowed private messages count.
Thanks John, but I've done that and can readily move any "received" PMs to my added folders (I should have explained better).
I'm only having trouble with movinig PMs from the "sent" folder to my custom added folders. After I select the ones I want to move out of the "sent" folder, my "pulldown" selection has no "move" choice available for some reason.
I see now, there is no move option in that folder, there's really no need to move them from that folder as they are already in essence in a saved sent PM's folder, just don't check the box next to a particular PM you need/want to save if you are going to empty other sent PM's you no longer want to keep.
If you want save sent PM's in another folder for any reason you could always send yourself a copy to your inbox, then move it from your inbox to another folder.
I think that's what I might need to do - resend to myself. However, a "perfect" solution from my personal perspective would maintain the existing date sequence though (related PMs stay in-line with each other). I honestly hope it's just a selection thing that Terry might be able to adjust or add easily.
It's really the same if you just remove any unwanted sent PM's from the sent folder which already exists, they stay in order that way. I will link this post to Terry1955, there's some things he can change and some things the owners have set up and Terry can't change.
Thanks, if you need any other help on this just PM me or Terry1955.
Thanks for the effort to help me John. If Terry can devise a relatively simple way it can be done, then all directly related PMs (either sent or received) can be moved into an archive folder in a date-driven sequence. It's sure not any "end of the world" kind of priority but would be very convenient for me and I think for others too.
