Thanks Mud, I assumed the thread starters were somehow able to do it, but it did seem sort of random. It makes sense now. I suppose they either contact a mod to get it updated, or that you periodically scan the threads and update them accordingly.

I agree. This is specific to the classified section only... but how hard would it be to add a radio button to the advanced thread edit tool that simply inserted "**SOLD**" at the beginning of the thread title? This insertion could then be updated by users, and the script written would insert the text. I can certainly understand the need to keep people from changing the thread titles, but it would be nice to have a way to see if an item is sold without reading each thread. It could also be used for search filtering, etc. Just an idea if someone has spare time and enjoys programming.
