Every time I open a thread a whale pops up in an ocean setting with a British Columbia ad. It takes up the entire page. Anybody having this issue?

Whales and eagles. Personally I won't walk across to the other side of a ferry to see either.

the experience varies depending on the OS, browser and what java scripting you the user allow with your settings.

it is possible using firefox and noscript plug in or chrome and notscript to avoid popups, ads, scripts etc etc etc.

it really speeds up the internets too.

I love BC ( and lived there in '86) but i don't see the ads with the settings I use on my mac

Type Ghostery into google and download it for whichever internet browser you are using. Blocks all adds and pop-ups and pages load much faster. it works great. No youtube commercials before videos play either.
