Thanks for the update! I am glad the brace took care of the issue you were having. I've not experienced what you were with my Wide Glide but I do like your description of how the brace has changed your turning feedback; that input to the bars is 'right there'

After we talked about the brace I'd wondered how one could or would improve my handling characteristics, and with that description, now I can visualize it.

I think I will add a brace to my Wide Glide to see how much more I can improve handling and stability.

Where did you pick that piece of goodness up, my friend?

I got mine here:

https://superbrace.com/

Not to be unfair to the SuperBrace folks, they really do make a quality product, but because I have a Breakout, there wasn't really any choice for me. Only SuperBrace makes a brace for the BO which alone says something positive about the company IMHO.

That said, you've probably got an array of brand options, styles and prices, available to choose from for your WG. Please let me know how you make out.

Can you be a bit more specific as to the pictures you wish to see and which product ?

There isn't much to see in a before and after pic of forks extended by 2" though, and regardless of product, I expect 39mm versions are available but you'd need to do some research, with extensions especially, as not all products I've seen are made of steel, if that's important to you, (IMO it should be).

Nice! Love the traditional rear fender

Edited to add: If you did want to add a fork brace, here's the link. I'm pondering on one for my '13...

It generally takes awhile for me to get a project going. I order stuff delivered to my US package service then, when I have a sufficient number of packages to collect, make the trip to collect em.

I've run across some old threads here which discourage "extensions" but they are a decade old post(s) refering to 70's era product so I'm inclined to discount them as they also contain little detail, (length, diameter, seam location ), about the product or its installation.

I'll be installing these 2" extensions which are steel and which when installed will result in a seam located 0.65 " below my upper tree pinch clamp with the internal threads slightly (1/10") gripped by the clamp. The seam, obviously, will also be supported by the lower tree pinch clamp as well so I expect the end result will be structurally very sound.

Apologies for the hijack Machiavelli, but I too an interested in commentary, at this point, from anyone with actual experience. These seem to be a common market item now so someone must have used em.
That is what I was talking about.. Only for 39mm
