Showa supplies HD with parts, hence the metric measurements, 39mm or 41mm front ends.

Wink

Showa have supplied front and rear suspension for Harleys for decades, so nothing has changed! As for metric stuff, the whole wide world did that decades ago.

OP, never mind the purse swinging.

You don't have to use HD/Showa parts but that's all I'll use. I HATE taking something back apart because of poor quality parts.

Duh... Graham wasn`t answering you...

OP:
I have found over the past 50 years that when it comes to fork seals, OEM is the way to go, no matter what type motorcycle it is.

The convention on a forum post is that everyone is assumed to be talking to the OP, less specifically quoted otherwise.

I don't see anyone quoting you. Hopefully this clears things up. Welcome to the forum.

You know, respectfully.

Oh my, I almost forgot about the OP. I recommend harley stuff for common service tasks like this because they have 'kits' that include all the replacement parts under one part number. I used to use AllBallz on my metric stuff, but for this Harley I like how they do the kits.
