Hey guys new member here! I have a 2008 flhp. I replaced the neck bearings to find out when back together and hand threaded the lower tripple tree is rubbing the bottom of the frame in one spot! Any ideas?
Being a parts guy thats exactly what I did and its all right. Dust cover, lower bearing and upper bearing metal cover and adjustable nut. But still rubs I even went as far as buying a new lower clamp and stem and still rubs.
I`m thinking he figured out what he did, and isn`t coming back....
yeah I spent $25.00 to ask one question and never come back. You guys must have missed where I said being a parts guy I checked the Fiche first thing
and yes I figured it out. All ***** actually sent the wrong bearing and race kit. Setting them next to the stock ones I pulled out they looked exactly alike. But the stock ones were a fraction of a inch taller thats why when I put the new races in and bearings they were small enough to suck the lower tripple clamp up into the neck causing it to rub.
you guys honestly should maybe ask a few questions rather than assume everyone is a back yard mechanic.....replys like these make people not even want to join, support or post.
now you can go back to eating your frozen TV dinner while you watch live PD. Thanks 😉
