Default Softail alignment question

I have just picked up an 01 Heritage Springer. I've been riding a wideglide for years (20), and this springer is a whole new animal. My problem is that when I'm going down the road and let go of the bars, the bike turns right unless I lean pretty hard to the left. Is this normal for these bikes? My WG went straight when I let go, so this is new to me. The bike is like new with 8000 miles on it, I can find no evidence that it was ever down. Any insight would be appreciated.

Default RE: Softail alignment question

measure from the center of the axel nut to the swing arm pivot on both sides to align...another way is to build an alignment tool, with 2 straight edges, one on each side of the rear wheel, extending to the front...once you get the alignment true, mark the points on the frame fro future line ups...
