Default Rear Tire Rubbing

I have an 06 Ultra and while washing it I noticed the tire almost rubbing the rear fender on the left side. The right has plenty of clearence. I asked the dealer why it was not cought on the 1000 mile service and he did not know.

I see no ware on the belt and I have 3500 miles on it. I'm taking it to the dealer friday but am concerned that if the belt has no wear
and they move the tire over will it then wear? I don't understand how it left the factory that way. Could the fender be out of alignment?

Default RE: Rear Tire Rubbing

Unofrtunately this is normal. The stock HD rims and spacers pull the tire to the drive belt side of the fender closer than the brake side. Probably for balancing purposes. Alot of HD softails and tourers will have this. Unless the rear tire is grossly misaligned(which you would notice while riding), your stuck with it until you decide to go with aftermarket rims.
