I have an '03 Fatboy and am wondering how hard it is to replace the fork oil? It seems straight forward enough.
Should I be very cautious when I remove the fork tube caps? The manual says that "the spring can force parts from the tube unexpectedly, which could result in death or serious injury." This implies to me that I should use extreme caution. However, I bought the Fix My Hog dvd for Softails and they implied that there was no pressure at all when you remove the caps.
I've only recently started doing my own maintenance and would like to try changing the fork oil myself as long as I don't cause death or serious injury!!!
