Just curiouse on what people think about droppin an 08 train? Pros, cons, ya know the basics, and prices from company's that make a slam kit if you can think of any!!! thanks a lot
Pros looks killer cons primary case gets a grind on occasion so do the pipes. Rides a little rougher but, it depends on how low you go. I got the Arlen Ness front and rear w/ a kick stand for $189 great kit.
Everything looks better lowered, and if you ask me the lower you got he better it looks.
That big 200 looks great tucked up in the fender and HD did a great job of making room in there.
The Ness kit is complete front and rear, good deal.
My bike is lowered as far as the lowering bolts will let it go and I had to stiffen the shocks. There's a trade-off between looks and ride. Take your pick.
Oh, like Lundee said, scraping may be an issue, especially the exhaust depending what you have. My V&H Pro likes to scrape the rear bracket if I am a little too aggressive when turning right.

if you don't wanna belly up for an air ride go with an adjustable lowering kit. burly makes a sweet one for around $100 that you can adjust with a wrench. slam it for local cruising and raise it back up to stock if you plan on taking a longer ride.
Yeah looks 10x better when front and rear are slammed right! Dont just slam the rear... Keep your frame rails parallel to the ground. THEN it will looks right! Not like you are half done installing your lowering kit
slammed look is the way to go. that's a clean *** lookin ride bimmer10. do you have any fender clearance issues after the 2in drop? has your rear tire rubbed when bottoming out?

Like Lundee said, there is a bump stop on your frame. Now I went just a bit more, I removed the bump stop and cut it half the width so I was able to lower the back just a hair more. The swing arm is just about 1/8" away from the bump stop.
