I am removing the rear tire and have the axel bolt out about 7". It won't seem to go any further. Any tips as to what to do or ideas of why it is "stuck"?
thanks Mike, that was fast. I have been trying for about 30 minutes. Bolt was difficult to start, but moved pretty free once it celared the left side swing arm.
There doesnt seem to be any grease on the shaft so far as I have removed it. I was able move it back in a bit, but it sticks in the same place when comig out.

Attached is a picture.
Put something like a 3ft. 2 x 4 under the tire to take pressure off the bolt. It will come out I promise.
Check the alignment you may need to work the back tire a litle bit to free it up. Sounds like it is bindding just work the tire some and should come right out
Its hanging on the threads on the bearing . Raise the tire or pull it back if belt is pulling on it. When you go back together you can slide it in from other side so you do not have to remove muffler

Bike is on jack and I have tried lowering it so tire touches the floor. I didn't slack off any belt tension, coul be that. I'll report back o e I try what was suggested. Thanks all.
When I do get the bolt out, is there anything to note about the spacers other than the side they came off of and their orientation (which end was towards tire) ?

Keep up with which side the spacers come off. You need to remove that belt from the pulley. No wonder you're having so much trouble.
