Generally speaking the more you spend on shocks the better they ride.

I recently put 412s on my 04 RK Custom. Stock length on my bike is 12", so that's what I got from Progressive. I love the ride - major improvement over the stockers. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do about the front - it's chattering like crazy. I think due to plusher rear end, it's unweighting the front more, causing the forks to ride fully extended, so I'm not really getting full front end suspension.

Looking into fork kits.
