1996 fxdl front end noise
Good evening everyone.
I picked up a 96 low rider with 28k,the first 3 or 4 rides were no problem or maybe I didn't hit enough bumps to notice but I've been hearing a metal thud type noise. I shook the hell out of everything up front and nothing stood out. I finally checked the bolt on the bottom of the fork and found that it was loose,due to the shitty East coast weather I haven't gotten to ride it since then. Does this sound like it may have been the problem? If not does anyone have other suggestions about what I should be looking for?
