Default Stiff suspension on 2007 FXSTC

Happy Friday Everyone,

I have a Softail Custom and haven't hit the 100 mile mark (but I will this weekend, it has been cold). I'm of average ht/wt (160 lbs) and I have noticed when I go over bumps (speed bumps, etc.) while going slow (normally 1st gear, less than 10 MPH) when the back tire comes over the bump my **** comes out of the seat. This is my first HD and in the owners manual I see you can adjust the shocks. My question is should I soften the ride or wait a bit for the shocks to break in? Appreciate any advice.

Generaly I dont think shocks "break in".I would check to see what setting the preload adj. is set at.
Normally stock shocks are not all that great. There are much better aftermarket shocks available.
