I have a 2005 electra glide classic 88ci with a stage 1 air cleaner kit and a set of V&H slip on's with a download from the dealer when purchased new no tuner. Stock motor no modifications. My ? is Im looking to install the dyno jet power commander V on it with there map according to my current set-up. Will I see any improvements at all or am I just throwing money away?
Yes an improvement. You are running lean now and the proper map will richen it up in the right areas. If you purchase from FuelMoto they will provide the map to get you running faster and in a safe manner.
The preloaded maps are a best guess based on your AC and Exhaust set up. They are usually very close to optimal. But then again each motor is different. To have it running the best with your set up, you should have it dyno'd and the map adjusted accordingly. So if you just have it loaded, it may or may not be optimal.
