Zonk, coming off a CH 7 I am expecting the worst but RoadKing and Gator law have given me some sound advice and I'm gonna run with it as soon as my discharge is complete.
I also don't want to settle for a Sportster. My first HD was a Nightster and when the buy back deal was offered in 09 I jumped on it. I wasn't out of the parking lot when I realized "WTF" did I buy a Nightster in 2007 when I could have been riding a Street Bob for not much more money to begin with?
Night Train's are probably the most I can afford or want to afford with putting a couple grand down maybe three. I really regret trading mine for a 370Z. Stupidest decision ever. I should have just got a POS truck to haul it in and been done.

We are slowly repairing my grand daughters credit after a boyfriend wacked hers. She couldn't even get a car loan with me as co-signer. Found her a decent car and I took the loan out on it. Then got her a prepaid visa card and put a $250 balance on it. The 15th of every month she takes a $200 cash advance on the card and gives it to me to make her car payment. The 16th of the month she pays off the cash advance she took on the card.
It establishes payment history and credit union says her credit will look a whole lot better within a year.
You could be putting the cart befre the horse. Fix your credit/savings/job/income/health/divorce before you finance a bike @ 20% apr. All of those are more important than a bike.
Get rid of that money pit 370Z too.

I thought prepaids were no different than debit cards.
Harleys are a luxury. Not a necessity. You don't need a Harley. You do need to fix your credit. Get you finances, credit and priorities in order first.
>>Does anyone have experience buying a motorcycle with bad credit<<
Not trying to be a jerk at all, but the root of the problem is in your question.

Agreed. Fix credit first then buy toys. and pay cash for toys, use credit for necessities and investment (such as business or home). Pay off CC debt every month. IF that cannot be done. Buying a Motorcycle on credit is foolish.

Dude, the lecture can be dispensed with. You haven't been reading closely at all. I'm on the other side of all that now. I'm asking about a bike because they are as much as a car and I have a decent car (not the Z)with a 3.99% interest rate I affirmed through the BK. I need a good sized loan too that will help me rebuild, but Gatorlaw has been very helpful with his suggestions and I'm going to take his advice.

Well, you can stereotype me if you want. I paid every bill up to the day my BK lawyer said to stop paying. To have continued onward using cash advances to continue paying bills would have been fraudulent. I sure hope nobody yanks away 25-30% of your income at the drop of the hat with no notice and you have to figure out a way to make due all the while coming off of a divorce and a bilateral pulmonary embolism.
