I tuk my shirts in, I hate it when my shirt flys way up my back and over my head while riding.

Safety is the reason for tucked in pants . Never had a problem on my road bikes, but once while wearing shoes on my dirt bike , I caught my pant leg on my rear brake pedal. Not very fun toppling over and having the bike land on you. On a stret bike With forward controls it would be harder to do but with mid controls it could happen very easy. Boots and boot cut jeans ..Mark..

If you don'ttuck your pants in or wear ankle-tight wranglers... and if you use hwy pegs
1. you run the risk of your pants blowing up your legs
2. And the risk of a BEE flying up your pants leg (i actually know a guy this happened to)

I risk both so I don't give off the impressionof being a $%*# jockey

have to be careful with pant legs and shoe strings, if you ever get them hooked on the pegs or something and can't get your foot down when you stop, it might be kind of embarassing.
Guilty as charged, a few years back, over I went at 0 mph.Fortunately for me, no-one saw me.[sm=ts.gif]

I tie mine tight around my ankles when traveling at 80 MPH on the super slabs. They will beat your calves numb after a couple hundred miles. Makes the ride more comfortable.[/align]

Wow with all the posting about shoe laces getting hooked up on the pegs. Memories of ride a bike when I was a kid getting the shoe lace wrapped around the petal or your jeans stuck in the chain and sprocket. And you know what happens when it came time to stop. All of a sudden the ground came up to meet you and bam. Down you went. Oh the memories. How many of you can remember that happening to you??

Now dont lie about it saying you dont remember!!

Didn't you recently post a question about plain vests versus adorned vests? With all due respect, are you trying to figure out how to best dress when you ride?
Yes.

I presonally don't tuck but when I was on my wife's 1200 low once she has mid controls. Well, I took my feet off the pegs and my cuff from my jeans got caught up on the peg. Almost dumped the bike in the driveway.
