You will definitely need the fwds to be comfortable on longer rides. But the bike should be fine for you otherwise.

I plan on getting highway pegs next pay day, but as I said above I fully intend on getting fwd controls in the future, but I want to get familiar with the bike on mids before geting them.

To answer Jmad, no I don't plan on having a passenger for any length of time and am looking into buying the Brawler single seat in the next couple months anyhow. As far as dual sporting this bike, absolutely not, it will be street only. Also as the engine size is concerned, I can always bore her out to 1200 and keep the chassis of the 883R I like, since the block is the same.

My bike's in! Going to put my down payment tonight after work and having her delivered tomorrow.
