Default Paint curing time

Good afternoon all.
I currently am in the process of adding 4" stretched bags to the Roadking. The bags are at the painters and will hopefully be done soon. My question is as the thread title states, "how long should the paint be allowed to cure before I can put a good coat of wax on the bags. Also plan on installing hog skins on the lids to protect the tops from being scratched by that wayward boot. I'm sure the painter will let me know the time frame, but just thought I would throw it out there and ask those that have had previous experience.
Thanks

Yep ... "stupid_rope" is correct ... in fact many manufacturers of paints recommend 60 days and there are finishes that will allow the paint to breath after the curing process too ... but definitely give it enough time to "breath out"

^^^ What he said^^^
If you live in a cold climate it may take longer to cure.

I'd go with at least 60 and maybe wait until it warms up good.

You're in a cold climate. Give it 60 days.A few hot spring days[like 75-80 degrees, and it's time to wax it.The hogskins-no way I'd do them before 60 days.. Wax your car in the mean-time!

Yeah the hog skins will wait for sure. The bike is kept in a warm area so hopefully that will help in the curing process. Thanks again for the advise.

Back many years ago when I ran a paint dept. for a sign company we use to load the mix up with accelerator and the finished product would be rock hard within 24 hr.'s.
Of course we had a bad habit of ODing the mix & this was during the warm-hot months.

As for the OP, I would still wait for around the 30 day mark in a 75*+ atmosphere before waxing.
