Default drying bike with a leaf blower

anybody got some good tips on drying bike with a leaf blower? do you need to dry it completely? will it blow water in places that don't need to get wet? like gauges and electronics. is using a shamey better?

I have been using a leaf blower for a long time. Never had any issues.

Same for me. I follow up with a soft cloth to dry spots that I missed.
Use some common sense and do not blow directly at your gauges, electric connections, etc. and you should be fine.

Same here.. doing it for a long time. Start with blowing everything out from the bottom and under the fenders and in between the little water holding areas.. then i start again from the top down. then after all is done i start it up and let the heat from the engine evaporate what ever is left in the nooks and crannys! works great,...

I have a cheap small Troy-Built which I only use on my bike and car. Not for blowing leaves or such,
So I don't turn it into a sandblaster. However I usually just use a spray and wipe and don't hose the bike. But it sure beats wiping off water spots on the car.

Leaf blowers are cheaper than this thing.

I bought a 30ish dollar toro leaf blower from lowes. it seems like it takes a pretty good while to dry my bike. almost seems like I can dry it as fast with shamey. the leaf blower is a lot easier on me though. thanks!

I tried spraying with pledge and wiping but it looked like it was making spider webs in my paint so I stopped. I can have my bike clean and come home from ridding these N.C. roads and cant tell I washed it.

Even high quality micro-fiber cloths will cause swirl marks on the paint over time. So, I use spray on S100 then rinse with a hose. After that, I blow off excess water with the leaf blower. If any spots are left on the finish, I go back over it with a spray on detailer and a very clean micro-fiber cloth. My theory is the less I touch the paint with a cloth, the longer it will take for the finish to accumulate micro scratches.

I have an Air Force Blaster and there's no leaf blower that will come close to how well it drys, however I do agree it's too expensive.

I got mine used for I believe $150 and even that hurt to spend that much.
But if you can find one used and you've earn a treat I'd recommend it.

If you do use a leaf blower use an electric one.
I know my echo gas blower some times spits out fluid
