How can one not know of other brand bikes when one was raised around Harleys and the father was in a mc club when he was a kid? Hello!
I dunno, mebbe he did kid **** like the rest of us?! ( it wasn't ''brand bikes'' btw, but accessories in question. Hey My Dad was a mechanic...I couldn't care less where his tools were made.....'til I used them.
Hi all, I will start by saying I bought my first harley this past oct and love it. Now I was raised around harleys as my dad was in a mc club when I was a kid so I always herd that harleys were superior bc they where american bikes. I have owned many crotch rockets and had my dads friends pick on me. So to the point, why is every genuine harley accessory made in china? Its just kinda funny to me to find out that the guys making jokes during my up bringing were putting made in china stuff on there bikes.
And don't think for a minute that Victory's are any different. I'm sure the same is true of the new Indians ... I've heard it said that the most "American Made" motorcycle on the market is the Gold Wing. Dunno - can't say.
That was the old days when the Gold Wing was built here. There US plant was shut down about 6 or 7 years ago, now they are built in Japan. And it's the same for Polaris parts like you said.
Pardon me rocket, I was growing up when the ricers were nothing to brag about at the onset and thereby easy to follow their upbringing in the US. Quality tools back when meant lose one and hard misunderstanding is in effect.
Essentially, Chinese production back then was limited to cheap toys, and not Harley parts. Forgot I was talking to the younger generation who wouldn't know. I have a forgetful mind at this age.
