What specifically is wrong with the stock seat? I have a RKC with a stock seat but it is my first Harley so I don't have anything to compare it to.........
There really is nothing "wrong" with the stock seat but there are others that have more cushion and have a deeper butt pad with more of a lower back support.
I just don't want to be moved back any futher then the stock one.
Oh by the way I like the RKC better than the standard RK
I went with the RK standard myself. I had bikes with laced wheels and it was a PIA to clean them. I also liked the seat better on the standard than the classic. Last, I have a friend that had a RKC. They went out one night, and somone lifted his bags. he came out the leather bags were gone. I figured locks cant stop anybody. However, if they want the things, they will have to destroy them, so what good would it do. The cruise control, I figure I will buy it on my own eventually and install it.
Do the Road King Custom then.... And Put Your Own Style On it
or better yet
Do the CVO (Screaming Eagle) Road King (FLHRSE) top notch.. 110 motor..good lookn paint, pipes..sweet 2 up seat...hard leather bags.. tombstone brake light :P
I prefer the hard bags. They lock and if (or when) you decide to do a custom paint job, the hard bags look great with some flames or pinstripes. Also, the 2 piece seat on the standard is a plus. You can take off the pillion and the windshield and have a totally different looking bike. Also, the mag type wheels are easier to keep clean than the spokes. Can barely see them anyway. JMHO
