OP said bad credit score was the result of a divorce. Typically one or both stopped making payments on debt.

It's called opportunity cost. On one hand, you could sit around all summer and save your bucks. On the other, buy a bike and live a little. Mental health is an investment. If you do buy the bike, party with the rich girls

This guy can do it, he just needs to set his mind to it. I don't make great money and had almost zero credit and never financed anything. Half the stuff ya'll are talking about is beyond my experience. But I have always worked hard and been certain my day would come for my Harley. I waited 2-3 years until I found the bike, talked to a bank, put $1k down and got a 7% interest rate.
Point is you can do it, just decide what you want and stick to the plan.
