Just build a 107 and be done with it, no wait a 117 or a 120 something. Does it ever stop?

I believe if you pay attention to keeping the cylinder down against the case that you will be fine on a low mileage O ring.

Have you actually done this?
Op the o ring is less of a gamble than disturbing the rings leave it.

Pulling the heads is easy. So it is no risk or gamble to just put them back on. Should the lower O ring leak it is not much more effort to pull the heads then do the seal.

It seems to be worth just putting the heads back on to proper torque.

A minor leak is not going to grenade the engine. Nor is it much addition work to go ahead and replace the gasket. The only duplicate rework is removing the head.

I do all my own services and have yet to even replace the drain plug O ring. My 10 Ultra had six services on it before I traded. I did check them for cuts and tears. I have a half dozen new ones on hand if I ever need one. I have reused gaskets most of my life without fail so far. Took the final drive on the Ural apart three times. No leaks.
