I have the SE Heavy Breather on my FBL. When I wash it, I cover the air filter with a bag and zip tie to keep water off of it. Last weekend I washed it, dried it (Metro Blaster), and cranked it up to burn any residual water off.
I forgot to remove the plastic bag and it made an accordion out of the air filter. DOH!!! New air cleaner $90 less 15% dealer sale.
Hopefully my stupidity will save others a few bucks.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get want you wanted in the first place.
Good one indeed Phil. I usually cover it with plastic bag but never forgot to take it off. That must have sucked. As my screening was getting a bit shabby I now have a spare so know about the $90.00 but I got a 20% discount. Nananabooboo
