I have a cycle shell that I used in Korea for 4 years.
It has been in underground parking the whole time so it is in great condition.
It holds up to snow and you can stake it to the ground, I have the stakes also.
It was $530.00 new but I will not ship. I am in Goose Creek SC.
It is in great shape for $400.00 you pick it up. Or if not too far I can meet you.
It is the large one for touring models.

Enclosed trailer, if you have a secure place for it. Put your wheel choke in it and you can use it when the snow is on to get your bike down south.

Default same problem here...

I store my bikes now in a 7x14 trailer.

was a lot cheaper than adding a stall to my garage...
I put a couple of big gun safe dehumidifers in the trailer and my bikes stay nice and comfy during the winter.

I used the CycleShell for about 8 years. Great product and very easy to use and store. I live in Phoenix, so no snow. Held up through the rain and dust storms. Keeps the bike pretty clean. You can store the bike even when the motor is hot.

This is what I did. My shed was full of crap when I brought my bike home and I need something to protect my bike. I whipped up to home depot and spent $50 on some pressure treated 2x4's and some tarps. Two hours later I had this.

The roof is reinforced to handle the snow. I have since cleaned out my shed and have moved my bike in there for the winter. Some of the stuff from the shed is now in the enclosure. In the spring I will move the bike back to the enclosure and finish it off with siding for a more permanent home. I am in the same boat as my shed is in the far end of my yard so the new enclosure will be used in the summer and the shed in the winter.

Yeah, if it runs.
I've trailered broke-down bikes for myself and others.
I trailered my bike once from snowy Michigan to Daytona w/no apologies.
I trailered my Road King to my storage room and brought home my snowblower, and I'll trailer it back home soon.
I currently have my Beemer stored in my trailer.
I trailer our dirt bikes about seventy miles to hit the good trails.
I've trailered my bike to the dealer for service.
My brother and I trailer our dual sport bikes about 250 miles for early and late season rides with a riding buddy.
When someone bought a bike I had for sale, I trailered home for him.
I watched other guys trailer their bikes to and from Ft.Carson forty years ago, when Colorado was still cool.

Let's not get into the trailering/no trailering debate.
Everyone has their reasons for doing either.

As for the subject at hand.

My vote is a trailer.
Whether you ride to events or not, in this case a trailer would be nice to have. My Excalibur "clam shell" trailer takes up little room and pulls really easy.
Not only can I use it to transport the bike but I can use it as a garage when I get to where-ever I'm going.

That being said I paid $2150 for it used and that ain't little money.

The OP obviously has space to park the bike so there's probably room to put up a small shed. I know there's desire to save money, but what's the bike worth to you? You can get a decent resin shed at Home Depot for $600, perhaps less on sale. If you don't have $600 get a Home Depot credit card and charge it. It's worth the debt.

Anyway below is a pic of a 7' X 7' $600 shed at Home Depot and one of my clam shell trailer:

South Florida, in spite of the picture people paint of it, is not a tropical getaway but more a bum ridden crime filled warm weather haven. A shed needs to be way more secure than you could possibly imagine. They'll take the hinges off and pull the entire door off to get to what's inside. Every bum and every loser in America, and Cuba/Puerto Rico/Brazil/Haiti, comes to Florida for it's year around warm weather and Pro-Bum laws (begging anywhere and as much as you want is legal in every city). There are more bums lining the streets here than in any other country in the world. Everything you own must be secured beyond your belief of what people are capable of or it will get stolen.

Thumper can you tells us what you really think of South Florida?.

Just kidding. You are right.
Even in Omaha as the weather gets colder crime goes down, as the weather gets warmer crime goes up. It's not coincidental.
