Just kidding. You are right.
Even in Omaha as the weather gets colder crime goes down, as the weather gets warmer crime goes up. It's not coincidental.

LOL!, there's actually a point to my rant. I see on this thread a lot of make shift storage sheds that would not work down here. And that includes plastic tool sheds from Home Depot or bikes already loaded up into a trailer, making it super convenient for thieves. Heck, I think they'd actually leave a tip and a thank you card for that one.

There are ways to prevent "convenient" trailer theft.

im just gonna buy a shed. im tired of messing around.
i wrangled it into the crap shed i have at the back end of the yard but i dont want it in there.
home depot has one for a grand delivered and installed. was thinking about that but there is a guy in cleveland who will come out with his crew and build it where you want it.
i talked to him last night and he told me right around 1k depending how i want the roof and he could come out wed or thurs. im leaning towards that.
its bitter *** cold so the bike wont be out till then anyway.

I just bought one of these this year http://www.thebikebarn.net/ very happy with it so far, my neighbour has had one for years and it's stood up to 3 feet of snow, hurricanes, heavy rain all sorts of weather and still standing.

Comes with a plate to bolt it down to the concrete and used some extra ones to make sure it is going to be secure at both ends.

Worth the few hundred and can be broken down and moved in 30 minutes easily.

I've used a Speedway Shelter since 2009. Replaced the cover last year. Works well. http://speedwayshelters.com/

Pretty straight forward and only an hour or so to assemble it, comes with instructions but is mostly self explanatory, not too much effort to set up.

My neighbour uses his for a Ducati and it has lasted him for a number of years so durability and longevity seems to be ok.

Way back in the 80's I had to keep my bikes in a shed for a good 5 months. And because I lived close to the ocean , about 2 miles . I would alway spray them down good with WD40 for the winter . This work very well for many years .

Here's another option. Looks similar and cost less with free shipping. http://www.thebikebarn.net/model_tourer.html
