Default 2015 Road King

Considering a Road King and currently on a 2014 Fatboy. I am looking for more power. Is this the right direction?

Handling will improve but the power won't change a whole lot.

There is a LOT cheaper way of getting "more power" than trading in your already new 20k motorcycle for a newer even more expensive motorcycle. But to answer your question yes you will get "more power" with a Rushmore road King as the new stock cams provide "more power".

No he won't; the RoadKing is not a Rushmore--that refers to water cooled heads & the RK is NOT water cooled; his Fatboy will have the same motor, albeit slightly less but not noticeable power because of the counterbalancers.

Since the only power difference is the difference between counter balanced and not, get cams for more power. Even more? Go big bore. Get a tuner and free flowing exhaust and a better intake. Have head work done. There are lots of ways to get more power without changing bikes that have basically the same motor. Having said all that, if it were me, I'd have gotten the Roadking to start with.

I will have to disagree with you. All 14/15 touring bikes are Rushmores. This refers to much more then just the water heads and includes the new front forks and the HO 103 motors that have the upgraded cam amongst other things.

Negative, negative. . . The 14/15 RK is definitely a Rushmore bike. Not twin cooled, but it's a Rushmore bike, complete with the High Output 103, etc.

I wonder if the idle is more potato sounding with the upgraded cams?
