Seems like I remember one of the motorcycle rags doing a test on these several years ago. Their conclusion, if I remember correctly, was not very positive from the safety aspect. They weren't as reliable at keeping the helmet on the head.

Quick releases are not legal on helmets where I live.

I have the ones sold at HD on mine. It has metal to metal for the latch with plastic covers. I like it a lot. Makes it fairly easy to get the helmet off with gloves on.

Nolan flip-face, DOT approved.

I have seen several Nolans that went through some pretty nasty stuff and stayed on the head.

I stopped at a Victory dealership on Monday and bought a new helmet. It is a very nice 1/2 helmet with a small visor. The neat thing is it has a quick release and D rings, so you can use either. Cool little helmet, plus it was on sale for 59 bucks.
