Default I thought my riding were over...NOT

Last year I had surgeries on my left hand and figured my riding days were over. At 67, I had almost 40 years of riding and thought well...its been a good ride. Sold the bike ('09 FLHRC), and other HD stuff. Well, its now been almost a year and I really miss riding. Got clearance from the surgeon, and just ordered a 2015 FLHR...be here in 2 weeks. I never realized how much Motorcycles..riding..and the lifestyle meant until it was no more. This is going to be my last new bike and I am gonna ride it till I can't ride no more.

That's great!

I hope I'm still pressing on when I get to be your age.

Just when you thought it was safe...they pull you right back in. I did the same thing but while you were out a year, I was out 35 years.

Yeah we sold our bikes in 2011 tried to convince myself I wouldn't miss it after 25 years on 2 wheels. Man was that a mistake.

Congrats on the new bike, it's way too hard to give up riding after doing it for any amount of time. It's just part of us. I will never give it up, whether it's switching to a trike, or no matter how painful it could become, or anything else.
