Seafoam actually has alcohol in it, from what I read. I'm not sure how it will affect the fuel line and internals but I know a lot of guyspreviously used it in their diesels until this fact was discovered. Not sure if the benefits would outweigh the potential negatives. Check this link out for more info. May only be a diesel thing but I'm not willing to chance it on the bike or truck. Harley makes some approved injector cleaner if one is dead set that they need it.

and alcohol will hurt what?????seafoam used at the recomended level will not hurt anything many fuels that we buy have 10% alcohol already every 10-15000 miles i pour a gallon into my semi truck and at every service i fill the fuel filter with it before installing it i have 1,420,000 miles on this truck. another thing seafoam is good for is to take the vacumm line off of the power brake assist on uyour car insert it in the bottle of seafoam start your car and idle until about half of the can is done it does a better job than going and paying for a proffessional injector cleaning.

I have read that it is not good for the HPCRof the 3rd gen Cummins in the Dodges. As for gasoline powered vehicles, I've heard decent things about it. As for Harleys, never heard of it being used. That being said, I'm not one to be the first to try it out on my bike, especially with the O2 sensors. Once again, I do not know it would hurt them but I'm not willing to be the test dummy on this experiment. As for the diesel engine, I have yet to see a diesel shop carry, nor recommend, this stuff. I'll stick to Power Service, FPPF, Howe's, or Stanadyne for additives.
And in regards to the 10% alcohol in many of our gasolines, yes, I understand ethanol is mixed in but whatwouldthe ill effects of rubbing alcohol/isopropyl alcohol(2-Propanol or Propanol-2) be on our bikes? I don't know and don't want to risk it. The potential gains do not outweigh the potential risks, IMHO.

Seamfoam is a great product....however gasoline has much improved over the years and the useage of Seafoam has declined. Diesels however.....I cannot comment on that one.

Adding Seafoam to an engine that is running perfectly normal is a waste of money. Even if the gas was old, you are still better off just draining it and starting fresh. Today's gasoline will clean the fuel system just fine without adding any extra stuff to the tank. A gasoline powered vehicle simply just does not need Seafoam anymore.
