i only wear my chaps with my g-string and my jungle boots. never. i've never worn chaps. i don't think i could wear them. ridden into the thirtys at street vibrations at 3:00 am and it was cold but not cold enough for me to ever wear chaps i think.

If it's below 50 I'll through the Overpants on. I have the FXRG overpants and a pair of the First Gear HTII overpants (those have been good to single digits)
The downside to the chaps is anything more that "road spit" after a rainyou'll still get wet

I wear my chaps as long as it's below 80 degrees. In the spring and fall they keep me warm and in the summer they keep the billions and billions of bugs MN has to offer off of my pants.

being long legged (thats pronounced leg-ed) i wear them alot, cause my jeans flap like crazy and endup above my boots. Chaps dont flap! also I have had rocks bounce off my knees before, chaps makes that hurt a **** ton less.

chaps are good leg protection...and have built in air-condioning (crotch) they arnt very weatherproof but they keep you somewhat warm
they can look strange with blue jeans.. depends on fit and how its worn

i rather wear my over-pants which are leather.. they do fit over my jeans, or whatever I am wearing under..
they are basicly water proof and they dont have built in aircondioning and look better than chaps..
